For 25 years, the AACC—supported by the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission—has brought together artists, musicians, authors, scholars, filmmakers, and community organizations for a day filled with engaging demonstrations, inspiring presentations, and powerful performances. This vibrant celebration highlights the lasting impact African Americans have made—and continue to make—on North Carolina’s history and culture.
📌 Important Location Note:
While the NC Museum of History building is currently closed for renovations, this year’s in-person festival will take place entirely at the NC Museum of Art, with activities held in the East Building and on Gipson Plaza.

Parking is available in the three main NC Museum of Art parking lots.
